The Codara legal database is a native tool in MeinGPT that gives your assistant access to Austrian law: Austrian federal laws, regulations, and court decisions (including OGH, VfGH, VwGH, BVwG, BFG, DSB) with automatic summaries. It does not cover German law.

Setup

Prerequisites

A personal Codara API key

Configuration

When activating the tool, enter your Codara API key in the "Codara API-Schlüssel" field.

Main functions

Search laws and regulations

builtin-codara-find-laws: Searches for laws, regulations, and sections
- Search modes: keyword, embedding, hybrid, auto (default: auto)
- Optional: filter by law type (BVG, BG, V, K, Vertrag, Vereinbarung, Geschäftsordnung, Entschl)
- Optional: filter by a specific document ID

Search court decisions

builtin-codara-find-decisions: Searches for court decisions (OGH, VfGH, VwGH, BVwG, BFG, DSB, etc.)
- Same search modes as the law search

Get a summary

builtin-codara-get-summary: Retrieves a structured summary of a court decision — facts, legal assessment, and verdict
- Requires the normId from the find-decisions results
- Only for court decisions, not for laws
