Asana

Tasks, projects, and workspaces via the official Asana MCP server in meinGPT

The Asana integration connects your assistant directly to Asana, so you can search, read, and update tasks, projects, and workspaces — without leaving meinGPT.

Overview

Asana is connected via the official Asana MCP server. With the integration you can:

  • Search, read, create, and update tasks
  • Comment on tasks, assign them, and mark them complete
  • Query projects and workspaces
  • Summarize content from Asana

All tool calls run in the context of the signed-in user — your existing Asana permissions still apply.

Requirements

  • An Asana account with access to the workspaces and projects you want to use

Setup

The Asana integration uses OAuth — you don't need to create an API token manually.

Enable the connector: In the assistant editor, select Asana under the connectors and save the assistant.

Connect: Under "Connections" (or on the first tool call in chat), click "Connect". An Asana window opens for authorization.

Confirm access: Approve the requested permissions for your Asana account.

Done: After authorization, Asana shows as connected under "Connections" and is available in chat.

Hinweis

When you connect via the MCP server for the first time after an update, you need to re-authorize once. The connection is per user: each person clicks "Connect" once so tool calls run with their own Asana permissions.
